HYDERABAD – The Government of India officially triggered its nationwide build-up to IDY 2026 this Saturday with a spectacular display of collective participation at Kanha Shanti Vanam. In a strategic move to engage the creative and professional sectors, the Ministry of Ayush extended a singular invitation to Satyajit Majumder, the Kolkata-based creator recognized as a Cultural Ambassador of India. As the only professional content creator invited by the government to represent his field, Majumder stood at the forefront of a movement aiming to scale global engagement through the Yoga 365 campaign.
The landmark event witnessed a historic Asia Book of Records achievement, where nearly 6,000 practitioners held the Bhujangasana posture in perfect unison. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, emphasized that such collective efforts are vital in strengthening India’s identity as a global hub for holistic healthcare. He highlighted that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, yoga has evolved into a global movement for physical health and mental clarity.
Majumder, whose professional work utilizes high-end cinematography to capture Indian culture, practiced the Common Yoga Protocol alongside international delegates from over 20 countries, including the UK, Canada, and Australia. Following the record-breaking session and a guided meditation by Heartfulness President Kamlesh D. Patel (Daaji), Majumder stated, “This record belongs to every citizen who chooses health over modern-day stress. The Government’s initiative to include cultural creators in leading this movement is visionary.” The Yoga Mahotsav successfully energized preparations for the upcoming International Day of Yoga, with officials announcing that the next major milestone will be observed near Khajuraho, continuing the mission to make wellness a daily reality for every citizen.
