Anand Priya Deo is set to introduce his memoir, Follow Your Heart, through a series of international literary and discussion events in October 2026. The programme includes the Frankfurt International Book Fair on 11 October, a special launch at the United Nations premises in Geneva on 13 October, and a Book Talk at the Global Campus of Human Rights in Venice on 16 October.
The Geneva event follows Deo’s participation as an invited panellist at the United Nations Social Forum in 2024. His engagement with the UN reflects a professional journey shaped by corporate experience, advanced education and work in international development.
Deo spent nearly a decade with Airtel and PepsiCo before pursuing two Master’s degrees in the UK and Europe. He subsequently interned with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva.
His career later took him to organisations such as Medic Mobile, Grameen Foundation and Karya, with development work spanning Africa and Southeast Asia. Having visited more than 70 countries, he brings a wide-ranging set of experiences to the reflections shared in his book.
Away from international platforms, Deo has focused on community development in Bihar. He founded the Ananda Foundation in 2022 in his ancestral village of Sikaria, in Nawada district. Its priorities include women’s empowerment, health and hygiene, and livelihood opportunities.
Follow Your Heart examines the turning points that can reshape a person’s understanding of ambition and fulfilment. Through its international launches and discussions, Deo hopes to share a perspective on how professional reinvention can lead to a more purposeful engagement with society.
